Happy Day 2! It looks like a fabulous evening – you’re starting to build traditions that Miles will always cherish.
I’d nom some latkes, too!
Happy Hanukkah! I have a question (maybe post idea???:) Are you raising Miles in one particular faith or exposing him to several? Are you going to celebrate religious milestones i.e baptism, bah mitzvah?
My husband and I are Christian and we had our baby baptized but we are unsure if we want our child thrown into dogma. It’s a neverending conversation. We kinda just want to celebrate our faith, not mourn it.
How adorable! It’s all about the boxes 🙂 Happy Hanukkah!
Happy Hanukkah!!!! I’m so glad you all liked your presents (okay, especially Miles). Awesome boots, BTW.
Happy Hanukkah!!
Happy Hanukkah, ladies! Great boots.
Jen- We touched on this in a post from a while back (last question on this post- https://1invermillion.wordpress.com/2009/09/26/never-discuss-politics-or-religion/)
The short answer is a) we both come from Jewish backgrounds and will only be celebrating Jewish holidays at best b) would like to give Miles an overview of other religions and holidays because we don’t want him to be ignorant and c) Nutella’s and my views on religion and Judaism differ and we will both be explaining our beliefs to him and why. I am agnostic and anti organized religion in general so I’m highly resistant to indoctrinating him in anything, period. I don’t agree with ‘religious milestones’ either. There are still a couple unresolved issues that we’ll have to tackle when we get there. But um, I always enjoy a good present holiday 🙂
Latkes, yum! 🙂
I love Latkes!! Yummy! Happy Hanukkah to the whole 1 in Vermillion clan!
He’s such a cutie! Happy Hanukkah!
Happy Hanukkah from one Jewish two-mama family to another! 🙂
Look at all that Hanukkah goodness! Nom nom nom, I wish I had some latkes and applesauce.
Have a wonderful holiday.
PS – those boots are beyond cute!
Hoping that this year’s festivities are some for the books! It looks like it’s been a wonderful holiday celebration so far!
Happy hanukkah! It looks like Miles is enjoying it. I love the menorah.
