While Cupcake just had his first noticeable case of in-utero hiccups, I decided to do a little online shopping. Up until this point, we had not purchased any clothing. Nada. Just waiting to see what we get at the shower(s). But another blog entry I saw today reminded me of how much I love a particular brand of baby things and after going to the website, baby clothing purchasing hell broke loose.
The brand is called Taggies, and we first found out about it a month ago. We were chatting with friends whose son will be almost exactly a year older than ours. He was playing with a toy, but really, he just wanted to chew on the tag. His moms explained that he always finds the tag and we were amused. The next day, we went into an eclectic toy store and found a soft plush baby toy covered in satin tags. We immediately bought it for them and later found out that the company has all sorts of other things, including clothing.
So I have just purchased 4 outfits (all on sale) and a toy covered in tags. No idea if our son will be as obsessed with them, but they’re all really darn cute.

Yay! Try Marshalls or TJ Maxx if you have those in your area… that’s where we got ours yesterday and super cheap!
I can’t believe that you havnt bought any clothing yet either!! That is insane control!! I have acutally heard of that company before! They also make blankets with fabric tags all over it, no?

The baby I nanny for (less than a year old) has a little Taggie blanket. It has the tag-like ribbons all around it, and one actual tag. What does he invariably chew on the most? The actual tag!!

We love the taggies too…we have blankets and we got three outfits at our shower. The clothes are soooooooo soft!
Seems like almost all babies and little kids love tags — my sister and brother-in-law actually both got their blankets reduced to trim only just so they could play with it tag-style. Ashton’s always loved them, too. Sometimes when he’s sick, I’ve even caught him rubbing the tag in the back of his shirt for comfort. I wonder why??

twb- Thanks for letting us know- we have friends who told us about this, but luckily the recalled items were removed from their website before we bought anything. So the stuff we bought should be fine.
