If you live in CA or FL, we hope you’re all ready to vote NO on those awful propositions against same sex marriage. And since pictures are worth a thousand words, we leave you with some images from our wedding ceremony 2.5 years ago. Though it wasn’t legal in secular law, our Rabbi closed the ceremony by saying “In spite of the laws of this state, I now pronounce you married.”

Wedding photos don’t normally bring a tear to my eye, but for some reason, yours do. Of course I wish secular law recognized your marriage, but I’m happy you didn’t let it stop you.
Love the pics ladies!! BEAUTIFUL!
Very fun pics. I like that “in spite of the laws of this state” 😉

Thanks for sharing your pictures, so beautiful….nothing like reminding us that the political is very, very personal.
Just beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Oh I love your photos. They’re stunning. That cake is gorgeous! You know, we both had bouquets of red roses for our legal California wedding this summer. There’s something so lovely about two women in love holding red roses.
Thank you for writing this, for helping us keep marriage legal.
your wedding pictures are amazing! You two looked so beautiful! -congrats!
Those pictures are lovely. Congratulations on your marriage. I am very nervous about all of the states putting constitutional bans on our love this election. I think I’ll be doing some serious pacing come this Tuesday.
VOTE NO: Prop. 8, California; Prop. 2, Florida; Prop. 102, Arizona; Question #1, Connecticut; and Act 1, Arkansas
word- wow…it was even worse than we thought. so sad that it’s happening in so many states.
everyone- thanks for your sweet comments 🙂
What a beautiful wedding! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Great photos—I know that building well!
SOOOOOO gorgeous and i love your dresses. Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous!!!
Beautiful! Really stunning photographs, flowers and dresses!
Let’s fight back on Proposition 8. Let’s boycott California wines, produce and travel. Let’s publicize it. Let’s embarrass them. It worked a few years ago in Colorado. What do say?
Congradulations. You both look beautiful.
suburban dyke- Thank you 🙂
I would say that it’s pretty easy for us to boycott CA, but mostly because we already don’t buy much from the state. But I see your point and maybe it will have an impact. What I’m hoping for more is that the prop won’t go through after all, even with a majority vote. Come on CA court justices!!! See how WRONG it is to alter a constitution just to deny people rights!!!
These are such great pictures. I am so angry about all the anti-gay legislation that has recently passed. We have a lot of work to do.
